Spectators will also have an opportunity to showcase their talents by participating in various crowd contests and challenges, allowing everyone the opportunity to participate. This is the major fundraising event of the year for Bubolz, and maximizing the dollars raised is a priority. To help make it more fun and beneficial for the teams, as teams reach certain dollar levels, they will earn items to make their overnight stay a bit more comfortable. The dollar amounts and items are as follows:
≥ $1000 2 camp pads
≥ $1500 2 camp pillows
≥ $2000 2 sleeping pads
≥ $2500 1 tent
One hundred percent (100%) of the dollars raised from this event will directly fund the Environmental Education programs at the preserve. Over 5,500 public and parochial school students, elementary through high school, participate in a wide range of onsite programs each year. While the actual cost of these programs is about $18.65 per student, area schools are only able to subsidize a modest portion of about $3.50 per student. Each year the nature preserve counts upon donations and special events like this one to underwrite the $83,325.
